- Head-height guides are common guidance drawn in proportion, not an official template.
Questions
How many pixels is a 35 × 45 mm photo?
At 300 DPI, 413 × 531 px: millimetres ÷ 25.4 × 300, rounded. The resolution tag is written into the JPEG so a print dialog lays it out at 35 × 45 mm. 35 × 45 mm is a commonly stated passport-photo size; it is labelled that way here because it was not checked against an official Indian source.
What are the lines on the frame?
Guides for the top of the head and the chin, drawn in proportion to the frame from common passport-photo guidance. They are not a measurement: no face detection runs. Move the frame with the placement sliders until the head sits between them.
What does the e-Visa preset do?
The Indian e-Visa photo specification asks for a square JPEG between 350 and 1000 px on each side and between 10 and 300 KB. The preset opens at the largest square your photo supports inside that window, cut by fill and crop, and the form check confirms the square, the size and the kilobytes.
Can it remove or whiten the background?
No. Background removal is not offered here; the photo has to be taken against the background the authority asks for.
Can it print six on a 4 × 6 sheet?
Not yet. The single photo at 300 DPI is what this page writes; a print sheet with cut marks is planned.
